We have been farming goats since 1990, but it was only in 2000 that we began hand-crafting cheeses and offering our range of dairy products, yoghurt & colostrum, to clients throughout New Zealand.
The secret to their award-winning cheeses is patience: Jan and John faithfully oversee the production process from start to finish -- from selecting and milking the goats to ensuring each hand-molded batch is aged to perfection in the true artisan fashion.
After spending 25 years on our 7acre farm in Albany we decided that we needed more land in order to meet the demands of our customers.
In November 2009 we moved out to Taupaki/Kumeu in North West Auckland onto a larger property. We have built the goats a lovely new barn and milking shed and converted an existing building into a fully functioning Cheese 'Factory" and farm shop.
Since moving we have added 2 new cheeses to our range;
TAUPAKI BLUE is a soft creamy French style cheese inoculated with the famous Roquefort culture giving it a robust blue quality
CHEVROLAIT is a cellar ripened Chevre. A soft creamy French style cheese which is full of flavour. |
